Easter: When Silence Isn’t an Option | A Personal Testimony of Jesus Christ

There are some things in this life I feel completely unqualified to speak about.

This is one of them.

Not because I don’t believe—but because I do.

And the more I sit with it… the more I realize how little I actually comprehend.

The suffering.
The sacrifice.
The weight of it all.

And yet… I can’t stay silent either.

Because Easter isn’t just another holiday.

It’s the moment that gives meaning to everything.

A Week That Changed Everything

It didn’t start at the cross.

It started with a man riding into Jerusalem… not on a war horse, but on a donkey.

Not to conquer Rome.

But to conquer sin.
Death.
Despair.

In what we now call Holy Week, everything accelerated.

There was the cleansing of the temple—overturning tables, calling out hypocrisy.
There were quiet teachings—parables that cut deeper the longer you sit with them.
There was the Last Supper—bread broken, knowing full well what was coming.

And then…

A garden.

“Easter isn’t just a holiday—it’s the moment that gives meaning to everything.”

The Garden Most of Us Avoid

The Garden of Gethsemane wasn’t symbolic.

It was real.

It was pressure.
It was weight.
It was agony so intense that His body responded in ways we can barely grasp.

He didn’t numb it.
He didn’t run from it.

He felt it.

All of it.

Every regret.
Every failure.
Every moment you wish you could take back.

He took that on.

Not in theory.

But in full.

“He didn’t run from the pain—He felt all of it… so we wouldn’t have to carry it alone.”

The Cross Wasn’t the End

By the time He reached the cross, He had already paid a price we don’t fully understand.

Mocked.
Beaten.
Rejected.

And still… He stayed.

He could have stopped it.

But He didn’t.

Because somewhere in all of that suffering… He was thinking about you.

Scripture tells us He endured it “for the joy that was set before Him” (see Hebrews 12:2).

That joy wasn’t the cross.

It was what the cross would make possible.

Your redemption.
My redemption.
A way back home.

“He endured the greatest pain ever known… by focusing on the joy of bringing us back.”

Why This Matters Right Now

I’ve had moments in my life where things felt broken beyond repair.

Relationships.
Choices.
Seasons where I didn’t even recognize myself.

And if Easter is just a story… then those moments stay broken.

But if it’s real

If He really did what the scriptures say He did—

Then nothing is beyond repair.

Not my past.
Not your present.
Not the future we’re afraid to hope for.

“If Easter is real… then nothing in your life is beyond repair.”

The Quiet Gift We Overlook

Before He left, He made a promise.

That we wouldn’t be alone.

That a Comforter would come.

The Holy Spirit.

And I’ll be honest… I don’t always recognize it in the moment.

But there have been times—quiet ones—where peace showed up when it had no business being there.

And there have been other times—loud, desperate ones—when I was yelling in prayer… and somehow, even there, peace still found its way in.

Clarity where there should have been confusion.

Strength that didn’t come from me.

That’s not coincidence.

That’s Him keeping His word.

“Peace that makes no sense… is often the Spirit reminding you that you’re not alone.”

A Spark of Something Eternal

There’s something inside each of us that knows this is true.

Not perfectly.

Not constantly.

But enough.

Scripture says:

“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.” — Romans 8:16

That means you’re not random.

You’re not an accident.

You’re not too far gone.

There’s something divine in you—whether you feel it right now or not.

“There is a spark of divinity in you—even if you can’t feel it right now.”

Why He Endured It

There’s a line that’s stayed with me:

He endured the most excruciating pain anyone will ever know…by focusing on the joy of our redemption.

That’s hard to even say out loud.

Because it means—

In the middle of unimaginable suffering…He was thinking about bringing you back.

Not when you’re perfect.

Not when you’ve figured everything out.

But right now.

As you are.

“The tomb is empty… which means your story isn’t over.”

I Don’t Have It All Figured Out

I still wrestle.

Still fall short.

Still have days where faith feels quieter than I’d like.

But I know this much:

Easter is real.

Jesus Christ lives.

And because He does…

There is still hope.

For me.
For you.
For all of us.

Closing Invitation

If you feel inadequate… you’re not alone.

If you feel broken… you’re not beyond reach.

If you’re searching… you’re closer than you think.

This Easter, don’t worry about having perfect words.

Just don’t stay silent if something inside you is trying to speak.

Gratefully,
